The Little Apple Gravel Illinois State Championship in Manhattan was a resounding success for the Hardcore Cycling Club! Our squad of four riders put on a stellar performance across multiple categories.

In the grueling open 150km race, Matt Zalewski demonstrated incredible strength and tactics, breaking away for an astonishing 20 miles to claim the 1st place victory!

The open 100km category also saw a Hardcore Cycling Club rider on the top step of the podium, with Matt Kruzolek securing a fantastic win! Adding to the success in this category, Peter Płowiec rode a strong race to finish in a very respectable 5th place.

Despite an early setback with a crash in the initial miles, Witold Zabawski showed true grit and determination, battling through to the finish.

This weekend’s results are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and talent within the Hardcore Cycling Club. Congratulations to Matt, Matt, Peter, and Witold on their outstanding achievements!
