Iron Bulls Tamed! Peter and Witek Conquer Wisconsin Gravel.
Another massive weekend for our group! We want to give a huge shout-out to Peter and Witek who took on the brutal Iron Bull 100 Mile route in Wisconsin. This is truly A taste of Xtreme Gravel, and they both started strong and finished with good results!
The Iron Bull 100 lives up to its reputation as a fantastic, if demanding, challenge—a GREAT FIRST (OR FIFTY-FIRST) GRAVEL EXPERIENCE! Setting out from Athens, our riders immediately hit the beautiful red granite roads, which gave way to remote gravel and two-track deep in the county forests.
Peter and Witek successfully navigated the course’s most unique feature: the infamous moment where they had to dismount and tip-toe across Averill Creek! With a jaw-dropping 92% gravel and just a splash of adventure doubletrack, this race demanded true grit.
Congratulations to both Peter and Witek on their fantastic performance! Taming 100 miles of that tortuous, glacier-carved path is a serious achievement. Seeing them glide over the Big Rib River and cross the finish line was a testament to their hard work.
We are incredibly proud of your results and your dedication! Who’s signing up for the Iron Bull challenge next year?
